As venture manager behind Coliving Awards, we were excited to support the Coliving Awards 2022 ceremony that was held on June 29th, 2022, at Kino Kosmos in Katowice, Poland.
The Coliving Awards took place during the World Urban Forum (WUF 11), which was organised by UN Habitat, City of Katowice & Polish Ministry of Development Funds and Regional Policy from June 26th to 30th.
The awards ceremony was hosted in a hybrid format, with a capacity of over 350 people in-person at Kino Kosmos and a livestream to our wider global audience.
Guests who joined us in-person, were invited to a post-ceremony apéro and drinks that took place after announcing the winners in the same venue.
On June 30th, Coliving Ventures also hosted a networking session during the official programme of WUF11. This event explored sustainable forms of urban living and housing, with a specific focus on shared living models including cohousing, intentional communities, regenerative villages, coliving, build to rent, purpose built student accommodation, senior living and other communal living typologies.
The networking event was facilitated using a ‘World Café’ format, which is a powerful social technology for engaging people in conversations that matter,
offering an effective antidote to the fast-paced fragmentation and lack of connection in today’s world.
We structured the networking session in a way that we could share our internal R&D as well as facilitate smaller thematic group discussions where specialists could dive deeper into categories such as sustainability, impact, ESG, social value, architecture, technology, community, branding, marketing and more.
Coliving Ventures hosted a separate industry event June 28th, 2022 at CINIBA in Katowice. The event explored how we can drive innovation, impact and change in cities of tomorrow with shared living through stimulating conversations, collaboration and insights into the future of sustainable and community-centred urbanisation. You can find more information about the event here.
Coliving Insights published a Special Edition to highlight the best coliving projects featured at the Coliving Awards 2022 and celebrate the creative minds behind these ideas. Get your copy now.
